The problem I am having is a small one but it effects my giving of the Keynote presentation.

When I watch the presentation on two screens in my office, with the notes hidden from the viewer, I can see the keynote presentation exactly with all its animated effects on the images.

However, when I do this from my laptop onto a TV screen, I cannot see any of the animated moves. I can read my notes, and I can see still images of my photos, but I don’t get any of the animated moves. Can you help me resolve this problem?

Open Keynote and go to the Play menu,

select Customise Presenter Display

in the customise screen, place a tick in the Show Animations option and test

If animations and video do not play, your MacBook does not have a suitable graphics system to play back animations or video

Thank you for your response. I did actually speak to someone who works for Apple and who gives many Keynote presentation and he told me it was not possible to view the animated moves while I viewed my presenter notes. They also told me the size of the Keynote file was not an issue. Receiving your reply gave me hope again that it was possible. I just updated my Keynote on my laptop to the current version and tried again but unfortunately it still didn't work. As my Keynote file is 630mb. I will now try to reduce the size of the images. I had kept them large as I am zooming into the images quite a bit and wanted to keep the quality high.

I just reduced the size of the Keynote presentation to 120mb and tried in the same set up as before but I still cannot see the animated moves so that imply that the size of the file does not make any difference. Am I the only one using Keynote with animated moves and presenter notes. Apple did suggest having an extra monitor of the screen in front of me which maybe possible in a large auditorium but in smaller venues may be difficult.
