I ordered some Beats headphones and I received them. I was promised 3 months of free Apple music. There was no Apple Music gift card or code in the packaging of the headphones. I also received an email from bestbuy advising me to click on a link to start my free trial. I clicked on it and my phone told me that the page did not exist. How can I get my free 3 month Apple Music trial?
Everyone who subscribes to Apple Music (for the first time) get a three months trial period, that is free in most regions/countries. This doesn’t seem like a bundled deal or anything special.
The subscription will be tied to your Apple ID account, and can be used on multiple devices (but not at the same time).

The free trial starts a subscription that continues into a paid subscription, after the trial period. If you cancel during the trial period, then the subscription is not renewed after three months, but will expire at the set date. You still get the full three months trial period. If you enjoy it and want to continue it, then just don’t cancel.
If you don’t (want to) have a card on file, then it is possible to do it without. The alternative is to have Apple ID balance (store credit) (where available as a valid method*) for the amount of the first paying subscription period at signup time.
A card is more convenient, also if you keep the subscription.
