My brand new MacBook Pro is not sending pictures in iMessage. normal text no problem - all up to date.... what can i do?
has anybody found a solution for this long standing problem?
MacBook Pro TouchBar and Touch ID, iOS 12.1
For the past month or so, I haven't been able to send photos to other Apple users through Messages on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), via a high speed WiFi connection. No problems sending the same photos using my iPhone or iPad. All devices are set to the same Apple ID. If I send the photo via the iPhone or iPad, it shows on the MacBook, and I can receive photos just fine. But when I try to send, the blue progress line gets "stuck" about 90% of the way. Eventually I just get an "Not Delivered" message.
I'm running macOS Mojave, 10.14.2, and the problem seems to date from installation of that OS.

This did not work for me. The messages app was reset, and I signed in again, but I still can not send photos. This is to other iMessages users (the progress bar is blue). Very frustrating!
You forgot to mention it would delete your entire message history on the macbook.
well that is discouraging. I have yet to upgrade to Big Sur but that was one of the features i was looking forward to have been fixed
I followed this and lost all, but one conversation and that one only has the last comment made in the conversation . I have to start all over again
Sadly, I don't see any files with .db in Library/Messages.
I'm using MacOS Mojave 10.14.6 and Messages 12.0
