Macbook not sending pictures in IMessage anymore

Yes, I found that out too late. However, the chats are also on my iPhone.

Is there any way to export and archive iMessages in a readable form before nuking the databases and losing all your messages?

Careful with this! I just tried it and it seems to have deleted all my past messages to and from everybody in my archives. Everything!

Apple has been aware of the problem for at least a year and a half. They've made no progress. A limited number of users are impacted. Perhaps they haven't addressed it.

Witchcraft might work too...

Would have been nice to know doing so will wipe out all iMessage history.

I believe that everyone has this problem but not everyone is vocal about it or even uses the function.
