Bluetooth not working on Windows 10 1803 Bootcamp MBP 13" TB 2017

Hi!

I have tried deactivating the option for windows to save energy by turning off this device in Device Manager/Bluetooth Radio/Power Management... It worked for one session but as soon as I shutdown Windows and opened it again, the problem was there again. Somehow my devices are frozen there and I cannot remove them and they definitely do not work.

Any ideas?

You lost me there, could you please be more detailed on what I have to do?

I have finally pinpointed the procedure to be able to use Bluetooth. If I restart from mac, it won't work. If I completely shutdown the computer and then turn it on, it will work.

Drivers are Apple provided for Wi-Fi. Bluetooth is Microsoft provided, since Apple provided don't work (yellow warning and error 10 - device can't start).

I cannot seem to be able to change it. I uninstall the driver and as soon as I scan for hardware changes it installs the same driver again. If I try to use the Boot Camp Driver installer, it just says the best driver is already installed and nothing changes. I tried to manually delete the drivers from /Windows/system32/drivers and it will install them again. If I delete de driver from the repository, Bluetooth disappears and there's nothing to install.

So yeah... I tried a few things 🙂

Well well, I have a bit of a special config here, so I can use my eGPU with Bootcamp. I have rEFInd installed as a boot manager, so I don't know what starts at the beginning and I don't have to time the plugging of the eGPU. If you leave the standard apple EFI Boot Manager the eGPU only works if you plug it in as windows is starting.

So maybe that has something to do with it. I have 2 windows options in rEFInd but I don't know exactly which one is which... EFI and legacy I guess. I use the one on the left which I think is EFI.

Can you actually change Fast Start in a mac? Isn't that a BIOS option?

Soooo... I managed to delete the BT driver frim microsoft and install the apple provided, found the .inf file inside the stuff downloaded by bootcamp. However this driver doesn’t work at all, shows the yellow warning sign. It’s version 6.1

The WiFi driver I also replaced by the apple one and desctivated the bluetooth collaboration. However, BT worked once and then I restart and it stops working. This problem seems to happen with Touch Bar MBPs 2016 and 2017... can other people confirm?

Hey Loner! Thank you for your continued effort.

I had already deactivated the automatic installation of drivers, for windows 10 you can do it from advanced system setting. I have turned off the computer, turned off the bluetooth keyboard and trackpad and once restarted, it worked again. I think the bootcamp drivers are broken, that's why I get yellow warning sign and the device doesn't work. Also the Microsoft Driver is flakey and need to turn computer off or bluetooth device off.
