i am getting a message popup when I open safari that apple has detected 2 malware virises on my macbook air ios system and to click on a removal button . should I?

It's a scam. Tap on Safari on the top toolbar, and then tap on Clear History. You can also go to Safari>Preferences>Privacy and clear the website data there.


Finally, you can close Safari, then shut down the Mac, then start it back up in Safe Mode if the previous steps do not stop the pop-up from coming back. To start up in Safe Mode, press and hold down the Shift key when you power it up and as it starts up.
