Macbook Pro bluetooth 4.0 (Low Energy)

Is there a sensible way to use Bluetooth LE devices on my Late 2011 Macbook Pro?

This is my main DAW rig so I have invested a fair amount in it. But I can't use some modern blue tooth devices because it does not support Bluetooth - Low Energy or 4.0.

Any work arounds/peripherals/card-swaps I can do that actually work?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

BlueTooth MacMini We are in May 2021, we have received and installed the latest update 11.3.1 and the bluetooth problems are still not solved. Am I alone?... Any connection to a BlueTooth device (keyboard, mouse, headset, etc.) is futile... What a disappointment this MacMini is!

MacBook Pro 2012 & bluetooth I'm using MacBook Pro 2012. How can I connect with bluetooth. I already tried few ways but still doen't work it. so isn't possible to connect with bluetooth in 2012 Mac??
