Macbook Pro Screen Hinge

i recently accidentally dropped my laptop and now whenever i open the screen i feel like the hinge has been loosen? Whenever i close the screen in an angle it used to stay at that position but now it closes itself. I wanted to ask if i could bring my laptop to the store and ask them to tighten up the hinge w warranty? Or is it not needed? Thank you

Hello Joiet_,

Thanks for visiting the Apple Support Communities. Since the computer was dropped, I recommend having the device checked at an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Store. You may want to contact the Apple Authorized Service Provider in your area and ask if they require an appointment to check the computer. Please make an appointment if you are visiting and Apple Store. A certified technician will inspect the damage, and provide you all options for repair, if necessary.

Please make a backup before taking the computer in to your appointment: Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support
Also, you will need to have your Apple ID and password handy when visiting a service provider. Check this help article under the bottom section titled "Get ready for service" for other items to ensure you are prepared: Mac Service and Repair - Apple Support

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
