Somehow I got a shape into one of my cells in Numbers. Now, when I create a new row I the new row has this figure in it. I tried zooming in to 300% to try and isolate and delete it but could not. Thanks in advance.

Select those cells and check out the formatting using the sidebar on the right. You probably have an image fill. Change it to No Fill.
