I’m having volume issues with iPhone 6s

Today I noticed a marked difference with the volume on my phone. I usually use the speakerphone when I am speaking with a calller, but took the speakerphone off and I could barely hear the caller. The volume was all the way up. I hung up and restarted my phone, but the issue remains. Any help would be appreciated.
