my hearing aids don’t switch from ipad to iphone

Hi,

i can can get my compatible hearing aids work on either iPhone or iPad but they won’t switch between when I change which one I am using. I have followed the instructions and connected to iCloud and they both appear in settings. Is there a solution to this problem?
