transferring photos from flash drive to ipadpro

after purchasing a 11” ipad pro and a Usb-C to USB adapter, i tried to use my sandisk flash drive to put my photos on ipad pro.

I connected it all up and nothing happened at all.

So thought I could connect ipad pro to my acer pc to download that way.

Need another cable ...was adviced to get a USB-C to 3/A adapter then a 3/a to USB...

will this work?

I am trying to do away with a computer , but struggling to transfer my stuff to ipad pro.

please advise.

i dont want to think i have wasted over £1000 on ipad pro i cant transfer my stuff too

iPads or any iDevice with iOS current can't use run of the mill standard flash drives.

There are a few special storage devices for mobile devices. There are portable, bulit-in WiFi hotspot hard drives for mobile devices made by Western Digital and Seagate.

There are special mobile lightning connected and built in WiFi Hot spot, USB flash drives made by SanDisk (now owned by Western Digital)

This listing maybe incomplete and somewhat outdated, now. So do an online search for similar external data storage devices for iPads. There maybe more options for iPad/iOS compatible external storage devices.

Kingston Electronics makes some data storage devices for iPads/iDevices, now, too!
