I've noticed some micro scratches around the edge of my new 12.9 inch 2018 iPad pro. Has anyone else encountered this? Wondering if I should exchange it. Thanks for your thoughts in advance!

Exchange it!
iPad Pros are expensive, get another new unit and check it out in the store before you leave.
Also, you are going to exchange it, power it up in the store to make sure everything is functioning normally.

I would return it instead of exchanging. Then I'll buy another one. Apple normally gives you a product in a plain box. Who knew what's in there. It could very well be a refurbished product.
Whether or not to exchange it is up to you. If you bought it from an apple store you have 14 days to do so. Other retailers may have different policies and your return may be subject to a restocking fee, so you'd need to look into the return policies and make the decision that works best for you
