Data error (cyclic redundancy check) when syncing

Recently some music folders in my iTunes (Windows 10 and with the latest Apple iTunes update) have become inaccessible. When I try to go to the file folder I get this message: Data error (cyclic redundancy check). I have tried to open the folders, delete them, drag them to Recycling, overwrite them and create new folders with the same music, all to no avail. Is there a solution or workaround?

See Backup your iTunes for Windows library with SyncToy. This should allow you to backup all of the readable data in your library, and should identify the specific files that cannot be read so that you can properly delete and replace them. If any of these are on your classic see Recover media from an iPod.
