PC 2700 RAM on an iBook G4

I'm wondering if a PC-Compliant 1GB PC 2700 DDR-SDRAM SO-DIMM 333 MHz would work on my iBook G4 1,33 GHz. In my city the Apple certified stores are really expensive while the PC ones are very cheap. Thanks for your help

Yes, your iBook can use PC2700 but it will run at PC2100 speed. OS X is picky about the quality of the RAM so do be surprised if it doesn't work.

What's the difference between 2100 vs 2700?

PC2100 runs at 266MHz and PC2700 at 333MHz.

Why OWC sells 2700 modules only for this model of iBook?

It's more economical. Because they're usually interchangeable, more PC2700 is produced.

Does anyone have tried successfully to put
a PC 2100 or 2700 on this machine?

Most that have added RAM have used PC2700. Mine is a 933MHz 14" iBook with 1GB of PC2700 RAM added.
