wireless Logictech mouse.

I purchased the LX5 wireless mouse about a month ago. I set it up and things worked fine until about a week ago. My hot corners quit working. Then the right-click wouldn't work, either. Right-click--nothing. I un-installed the software then re-installed it. Got my hot corners back. But, right- click--nothing, nada. Tried reassigning it with the Logitech software preferences. Right-click would work with all the other accessibility features but not the standard right-click that is common to most two-button mice. Then I un-installed the thing AGAIN and this time plugged in my old trusty two-click wired Logitech mouse. Right-click--nothing. Sounds like a OS problem to me as was confirmed by Logitech support (whom I had called to try to resolve the problem). Incidentally, at the same time this problem occurred I had problems with the new Logitech software preferences window crashing. This is petty, I know, but inconvenient. Are the IMacs like the iPods--good for a few years then the big dumpster sound?

begonia...Welcome to Apple Discussions..

Yes I had the same problems with LCC 2.1.3 under 10.3.9...v2.1.2 worked perfectly

Now under 10.4.9 I am not able to open the dmg. for LCC 2.1.3 and the LCC Device Manager still quits and will only sometimes let me configure the mouse and keyboard

Currently I have installed 'Steermouse'to gain some stability and to be able to program most of my MX Revolution's buttons

I sent an email to Logitech Support detailing my problems...still waiting to hear back from them

Using an app. called Preferential Treatment the LCC was the only preference found in my system that had problems...red flagged as having 'to few bytes in the stream' whatever that means

I believe that the problem is with their software and not with your iMac or mine

Thanks Dave.

I went looking for lcc212 but didn't find it...yet. Since I don't plan to upgrade to Tiger maybe I'll be all right with that solution. As I said it's an inconvenience which I could live with but 'why' if it is solvable.

Noticed you're at Round Rock. Ft. Worth, myself before moving here to MD. Gov't. job. Miss TX.

I'll try your suggestion in the meantime.

Thanks mucho.
