Is an 80GB hard drive enough?

I have 19 full movies and exactly 3640 songs in my iTunes and I would like to know if 80GB of storage space will be enough space to hold all that plus Abobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS3 when I get my Core 2 Duo MacBook. Also, will the standard 1GB be plenty?

MacBook 2.0GHz (Core Duo), Mac OS X (10.4.9), 30GB iPod Video (White)

Assuming 10Gb for system data, 15Gb for your Music, 15Gb for your movies, and 5Gb for CS3, you're looking at having about 15Gb free, which would be a bit on the low side, in my opinion. I would suggest at least 120Gb.

With regards to RAM, the more the merrier. I recommend at least 2Gb for Macs these days. My MacBook Pro CD has 1Gb, and it is a little pokey for me. I'm planning on upgrading to a C2D with 2Gb soon.

Alex already answered your question as good as poosible. Not knowing how big your files are its kind of hard to know that for sure. Plus The CS 3 versions of Adobe hasn't been released yet so we cannot know how big those install are either.

But I would agree with Alex, probably not, but that depends on how big your movie and music collection is.
