Controlling ADAT

How I do I use the transport to control an ADAT?
turn on the MMC?
I tried that but nothing.....Thanks!

g5 Dual, Mac OS X (10.4.4), Logic 7.1.1 motu traveler- digimax lt- aphex 230

I'm reading in the manual on page 617. It says 'You only need to create one instrument with the 'tape deck' icon, and you may then assign that same instrument to as many tracks as needed, to control your external recorder.

So far I've made one instrument track with a 'tape deck' icon in the arrange window. - no control.
How do I 'assign that same instrument' to the eight tracks of my ADAT?

MMC is activated.

You also need a MIDI interface that sends out the MMC data via the ADAT 9-pin format.

You also will need an ADAT 9-pin cable to hook it up between the ADAT and the interface

Motu makes one.MTP/AV.

eMagic has one,although you'll have to get it second-hand.Unitor8mkii.

Then you should be all good to go.

Yep, found out logic needs that...or a " JL Cooper " ? sync.
DP and Audio Desk will sync no prob. Thanks for the help!
