I have a PowerPC G4 Quicksilver dual 800. I recently had a ram chip go bad,it was under warranty. Powermax sent me a new 512 MB chip. System profiler says it's a PC100 chip, though the other chips are PC133 chips. Is there a problem mixing speeds like that? I have heard that system profiler can misread chips, so maybe it really is a PC133 chip. I can get yet another chip from the company, but then I'm without enough ram for 2 weeks. Machine performs fine, ram tested fine using rember.
The question: is it bad to mix ram types, and is it possible that it really is the right type of chip?
