Can I reduce (limit) the cpu speed?

Hi, I got the new Macbook 2.16 recently.

On my previous iMac G5, I was able to set 'reduce processer' in the energy settings menu. Hence I could prevent the fans from ever getting loud (especially when wathing TV).

Is there a way to do this on the Macbook? The energy settings don't seem to have this same option. The fans are going really fast right now, when I'm watching TV.

Thanks

The Intel Core 2 Duo has built in power saving functions (called Intel SpeedStep). Thus, the chip varies its clock speed and voltage depending on its load. I'd wikipedia Intel SpeedStep if you want more info, but in short to answer your question, there's no need to worry over it since it does it for you, on-the-fly.

A side note; removing the battery defaults the processor to 1GHz.
