iTunes 7.1.1 Mac download

You can download iTunes 7.1.1 here:

I just did the downgrade, everything is working fine, again.

To downgrade, delete iTunes.app in HD/Applications and the iTunesX.pkg in HD/Library/Receipts.

I hope for all of you with problems, this will help, too.

Don't forget to repair permissions after the downgrade and to restart.

Cheers,
Enrico

Your music and your library are stored in a different folder: iTunes (in ~/Music/). The ~ sign will mean your user's folder. As long as you don't delete this folder, nothing should happen to your library. But it would always be wise to create a copy of this folder before doing this procedure.
I did the downgrade with nearly 2.000 songs in my library and they are still there and they are playing fine in my iTunes library and on my iPod.
Yes of course, there are some risks, that a library may become corrupted. But your songs should still be in place on your HD. Just backup this folder and whenever something goes wrong copy your backup of this folder back to the ~/Music folder.

Cheers,
Enrico
