Downgrade QuickTime

Can I do it?

I don't use the software (Timbuktu), or ARD (Apple Remote Desktop) and have no desire of "looking over your shoulder" to help you diagnose your trouble.
You could start be explaining (completely) your issues or do the simple archive and install process to revert to older versions.

Mine is just the opposite. Since I upgraded to Quicktime 7.1.6 all of my .mpg and .mov movies have no sound: whether I download them or play them on the web. All the .wmv movies via Flip4Mac work fine.
