Trackpad teflon film

Hi, I've had my ibook G4 since 2004 and I hate the trackpad because I can't seem to operate it very well. I read on the apple help site that if its skipping to put a 'teflon applique' or pad on the trackpad. I see the apple store sells three kinds--for Macbook black, pro, and white. Any idea which one I should buy for my ibook? Anyone else with nerve damage in their fingertips who has been able to get used to this device? Thanks.

Call the Apple store nearest your place as to the correct trackpad. Different materials and manufacturers lead to differing a "feeling". I have seen them being used in Japan, it gives a better feel for some users. Any reason you are not using a cordless mouse? Have you made adjustments to the iBook trackpad in System Preferences? Worth a shot.

Cheers, S.
