MacBook Pro won't recognize Lexmark X83 printer
Hi Folks,
I switched from PC to mac about a month ago and I'm finally trying to get it to work with my printer, which is a Lexmark X83. I went to the Lexmark site and downloaded the driver that is indicated (CJMX83L1.dmg). When I open that, I use the install in there and the process hangs. Finally, I force quit. But my printer is plugged into a USB port and when I go to the printer setup utility, there is not an option for USB printer. (which documentation was telling me to select.)
Any help would be appreciated. I really need to be able to print and can't afford a new printer until the MacBook Pro is paid off.
