Depends upon what format the file is on your machine.
Do this. Go to iTunes>Select the song>Right-click>Get info
The "Kind" and "Format" values in the "Summary" tab should be "MPEG audio file" and "MPEG-1 Layer 3" or something similar. If they are, then you're cool.
If not, you can convert the song to MP3 using iTunes and then send it over. It usually works like this:
With iTunes open, press Ctrl+,
This should open up Preferences.
Go to the "Advanced" tab
Go to Importing.
"Import Using": MP3 Encoder
"Setting": High Quality (160kbps)
Click OK to return to iTunes.
Now, Select your song>Right-Click>Convert Selection to MP3
Repeat the Get Info part to check if the file's an MP3 and then email away.
Hi,
I have a song on iTunes that I want to email to
someone as an mp3, can you tell me how I can do this
please?
Thanks 🙂
Since your question has already been answered, I wanted to make sure that you know not to email music that you do not own rights to. In other words, don't steal music.
