What screen protector do you use? Do you like it? Looking for a clear one

I recently purchased an iphone 4, and I'd like a screen protector for it. I have a tendency to accidently put my phone in pockets filled with change, golf tees, keys, and all sorts of scratchy objects, and I'd rather not risk it.

The choices seem pretty limited actually.
AT&T sells a clear one for ~$10. How is it?
Top rated one on Amazon is from Splash. Anyone use that one?
Invisibleshield has just horrific ratings. Out of 70 purchases, 47 have been 1 star/5

I'm interested in:
Clear
Inexpensive
Doesn't cover the front facing camera

Any recommendations?

PS: (I know this question has been asked before, but not since august, and inventories have changed since then)

It's the coating on the screens which scratches easily and you only need to have a tiny piece of grit on your finger to mark your screen, let alone whatever might be in your pocket. It's better to be safe than sorry and there are decent protectors out there which, if applied correctly, can't be seen. The trouble is, a lot of people buy the cheap ones which don't fit properly or they don't apply the decent ones correctly and end up with air bubbles. I couldn't stand a screen which had an obvious protector on it.

I don't think if it is a waste of money. Screen protectors are not really to keep the iphone safe from breaking, dropping, etc. It is more to protect from day to day usage and avoid dust, oil, smudges, etc on glass. Though it is easy to clean the glass but still. I often use my phone while on road, hands are not always clean and hygiene and putting the screen protector on is not a big deal as it doesn't degrade a quality of display. Maybe .01% but still worth it. At least I could be little careless in cleaning my iphone with shield on it using any type of cloth. But I am trying to avoid cases as they give the iphone very bad look. Even Apple's bumper itself is too bulky and other choices are even worst imo.

I would love to use my phone without any protectors but this is not a dust free world we are living in. it cost me C$817 + an ipod for my wife 😉

I fined the cheap generic ones the best as all the screen protectors I've ever had get marked, maybe its because I keep my phone in my jeans pocket with keys and other stuff.

Once they look a bit shabby just peel it off and apply a new one. Little bit of practice getting them on right, but its quite easy to do with having no bubbles showing.

Quick look in ebay and I can get 6 front and back for €1.19 - about $1 from Hong Kong.

I purchased a couple pacs of the Casemate (AT&T Generic) screen protectors that were 3 for $9.00. They are decent and easy to apply with no bubbles, but there is a minor rainbow that can be seen when reflecting light. You really can't tell it's on their otherwise.

I just went ahead and picked up a pack of Power Support Anti-Glare and Crystal protectors that I've heard so much about. I should have them in two or three days.

I checked but couldn't find glossy screen by Gear4. They only have antiglare which looks pretty good to me but I would like to avoid antiglare because of retina display.

i'm using a powersupport HD anti-glare screen protector for my iphone 4 and do not have any issues with the retina display. It is clear as it would be without the screen protector, meaning I don't see any difference with or without it and just looks the same.

ill give you guys a tip too on installing the cheaper screen protectors.

if you put them on outside you wont get any dust underneath them at all. there is a lot of dust inside houses and buildings that floats around in the air. when i put mine on outside they are flawless now... you just have to make sure to wipe all the dust off the screen really well with the microfiber cloth. you can even peel it back a few times to make sure you get it on there perfect and it will still come out flawless

putting them on outside is a really good tip. i've never thought of that and it makes complete sense since if you ever look at a spotlight of the sun when it is shining in your house you can see all the dust twirling around that you couldn't see otherwise.

anyway, i have a zagg IS and got it installed at best buy since i do not have the time nor patience to do it by myself and it was only 8 bucks. if you can deal with the slight orange peel effect than the zagg is great.

I highly recommend the ZAGG Invisishield (Full Body) for the iPhone4. This screen cover not only protects against scratches, as I have proven to friends by running my car keys all along it. If it is ever damaged while protecting your phone, you get another sent out to you within 4 days and it only costs $3.95 shipping. It comes with a lifetime warranty and once it has set for three days it also works with most cases. I think it is worth the $30 to get it.
