After syncing iphone 4s, no call history stored.

As above, i have successfully been able to sync what I needed from itunes to my iphone; photos, music, contacts and SMS' appear on my new phone.

However, no call history is stored. Regardless of number dialed, no recent or missed calls are being stored; call history is constantly blank. What can i do?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

99% sure its to do with the backup. After restoring phone as new i have a call history. Once i back up my phone with my previous info, contact and pictures no call history is storing.

Assuming therefore its an error or corruption in the back up prosess. Is there anything i'd have to tick or allow when syncing/backing up or should this be included in a straight forward back up?

It shouldn't be, but apparently it is. If you're willing to take some more time, we can narrow it down. Get it back to where it was before; a phone with nothing on it, but set up so you can make calls. Make sure call history is working.

After that, SYNC. Don't restore backup, just do a new sync. But do one thing at a time. Sync only your applications, then see if call records are working. If they are, sync just one more thing and repeat until it stops working again.

If with a sync (but not a backup restore) everything is fine, the corrupted filesystem was included in the backup and you'll have to just get rid of them. You can still have all of your contacts, music, pictures, etc from a sync.
