My Facebook App keeps crashing

My wife's app was crashing this afternoon, I tried the options of turn off and back on the iPad as well as the app. I couldn't access the sync function the app crashed too quickly. I was going to delete the account and tried again before an attempt to reinstall the app. However just as I went to Settings, Facebook I saw a message on the screen just above the password field stating "There was a problem with your password..." I had her re-enter her password and all is well now. I can't say this is the end all solution but it certainly warrants a look if you are experiencing this issue yourself.

I am using my first iPhone ever (iPhone 6, 64GB). I have painfully frequent Facebook crashes. It happens when I try to open articles from my wall, and when I try to scroll down, the article either freezes constantly where I can't scroll, or else it will load the first couple paragraphs and the rest of the page is gray and never loads. And don't tell me to wait longer, because that does not work. I tried uninstalling the app, factory resetting the device, making sure I have enough space, reinstalling the app, etc. Not only will the articles not load, but often the app will just freeze when I'm looking through my news feed and it will close. I understand nothing is perfect, but this seems to be an OVERWHELMING issue with possibly one of the most popular apps in the world. I have never had issues with Facebook on ANY other phone I have ever had since phones started being able to use FB. I keep seeing the same solutions suggested, and it's annoying because they do not work. I work at a cell phone store. I periodically reset my device, I know how to do lots of troubleshooting, I know how to be careful about what apps I use, but this might be an absolute deal breaker for me. I am very close to going back to an Android device if I can't use the apps I want to use on one of the most expensive phones we sell.

I had the same problem. Sometimes it would crash immediately after opening, and sometimes after a few minutes. I discovered that it is reasonably stable as long as it is the only app running. Certain open apps cause FB to crash immediately, and others simply make it unstable. This is true on both the iPhone and iPad.

I am having the exact same problem as you, mine started yesterday and I am a regular user. This is the first time I have had this problem
