Backup data on iPad3

Hi everyone!

I just joined this wonderful Forum and I need some help.

I just sold my iPad 3 (for financial reasons) and I want to backup all the data on it so I can eventually load the data to a new iPad when I buy one again.

I have several apps on it such as SetLists, SongwriterPad, Adobe Reader, and the one that I'm most concerned about, Download (a app that downloads videos).

So my first question is if it is possibleto backup all the data on my iPad?

The apps I'm most cncerned about backing up are SetLists and Donload because I have a lot of Lyrics and Chords on Setlists, and lots of instruction videos on Download (about 7GB).

The first thing I tried to do is backup the data on iTunes, but I can't seem to sync the iPad 3 to iTunes.

When I connect the iPad 3, the first window that appears says Autoplay, iPad, and asks if I want to import videos and pictures using Windows (which I did).

When I go to iTunes, it never says the word "Devices" in the left column, nor does it say the iPad 3 is synced to iTunes.

What am I doing wrong?

Guys,

I finally found out where the Sidebar was hidden on iTunes 11.

I have now backed up iTunes to my PC.

To make sure a successfull backup was done to the PC, I go to:

Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

At this point I see a Folder that says:

d64fe180273dded30aa44270c73cb84c2ff9

Date Modified 4/7/2013

File Folder

When I view the Properties of the Folder, it says it is 485MB.

My iPad 3 says it has 11GB stored on it, and the app I am most concerned about backing up (Download) has 7GB on that one app alone.

So my four questions are:

1) Did all of my 11GB truly transfer?

2) If so, why is the size of the Folder only 485MB?

3) When I look for the largest size File within the Back up Folder, the largest is 47,976 KB. So which one is the 7GB Download app?

4) Can the content of each File be viewed on my PC, or is the content only viewable on a iPad?
