PLS HELP
iPad, iOS 6.1.3
Hye there..
I also facing the same problem and i just bought this ipad mini early last month.. i went to the place i bought the ipad and told them about the problem and asked if whther they have any solutions to it. Surprisingly they told me that there's nothing that they can do..
Help me..what should i do? It is really tiring to keep checking up my ipad everytime it charges to see whether it stop charging or not..i've noticed that this problem only occurs to ipad mini only..
Try another power adapter like ur iPhone adapter or others.
It's normally the adapter problem
Wouldnt it be a problem? Coz i believe tht every chargers have diff power/W.. Did u go n report about it to the centre?
The voltage is Same just different amp.
Take it to the center and request for a new adapter. Well, mine was the faulty adapter causing the prob.
Will do.. Thnks kai cheng!
Anyway any tips on how to take care of ur ipad's battery? Is it bad to fully use it till the battery empty?
Don't use it until empty and don't overcharge that's all
http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipad.html
according to that article - Apple wants us to discharge ipad completely at least once a month.
I have tried 4 chargers only then I found 1 that could charged to 100%.
Did you try another charger?
Yes i do try HUAWEI charger before . It is able to charge till100
But it is not recommended that you use different product charger to charge apple's product. Is better to find a new apple charger or make a new iPad replacement
If the iPad charges fully using the ipad2 charger then its a no brainier use that to charge your iPad,the ipad2
charger outputs 10watts the iPad mini charger outputs 5watts.You can buy a charger that outputs 12watts I think the charger that came with your iPad mini is underpowered hence the reason why it takes longer to charge however that is my opinion.
The chargers are faulty in design there not grounded which can cause them to get hot apple claims that there not supposed to get above 105 degrees but burns have been reported on other forums I have recently viewed
My ipad mini would only charge to 95%. I contacted Apple via chat and they were very helpful. Their suggestion was to go to settings - general - reset and select reset all settings. I did that - it does not delete data but does reset some settings like sounds to the default settings. Since then I have been able to charge to 100% without any problems using the charger that came with the Ipad. When I contacted Apple, I asked for an exception to the charge and they gave the advice at no charge. He also said if that didn't work, to try to restore the IOS software but first back up all my data. Fortunately, I did not have to do that.
I am facing the same issue and funniest thing it's hardly 3 months old and warranty finishes at 2014 but apple customer services suggested me to buy extra warranty, customer care calls expired and charger and wire are not included this is basically feels like you have been conned when you go and buy stuff from pc world becouse they don't tell you what is coverd and what not they just say register your self for warranty. Well learned the lesson it was first time start using apple plateform gadgets might never again, not happy and next time will suggest friends to keep them selves away and stick with opensource stuff.
I rarely write in forums but go and replace your ipad my one was the same out of the box it always stoped at 80-90% no matter you start from 50% or 0% repaced no question asked.Thats a hardware issue i gues the replacement does not have this problem same charger same socket not a charger problemi used 3 different chargers on 3-4 different sockets dont listen to some fools .Go and get new one otherwise the battery life is insane 🙂 in a good way
Reset wont help!!
btw when it stops to 80-90% you have to replug it couple of times till it bites.
