Ipad won't connect to wifi after update iOS 7.0.6

After I updated my Ipad Mini's iOS to 7.0.6 I am not able to connect to Wi-Fi. Its a first generation ipad mini with no cellular. I am able to see the available wifi networks but when I try to join it show a screen with message saying "Unable to join the Network". Sometimes it does connect to the network for 1 minute or so, but when I try to browse the internet to see if it is actually working it doesn't download anything or it does download for a while and very slow until it disconnects afterwards from the Wi-Fi.

I have tried the following with no success:

- Turning WiFi on and off.

- Turning iPad on and off.

- Hard reset pressing the On/Off Button holding Home Button

- Resetting Network Settings

- Erase All Content and Settings

- Restoring Ipad

- Rebooting router and disconnecting it from power for several minutes

My other devices work well in my home network & I have tried connecting on several public and private wifi networks with my iPad but still no success. Before the update I didn't have any trouble connecting to my home network or any network. Has anybody experienced the same issues? How can I fix my ipad so that I can use the WiFi normally as I did before?
