Where are plug-ins located

I cannot believe this BFd LIte is not going to work with GB3. The guy at Guitar Center promised I would have new drums sounds. Where are the GarageBand plug-ins located, anyway, I've looked in my libraries, system folder, etc. This is really stressing me out!

20" Intel C2D iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.9), 2.16ghz, 2gb ram and one pesky pixel

The DLS Device allows you only to access one sound per soundfont. However, some soundfonts come as banks with many sounds. SoundFontSynth is a plugin that allows you to access these single sounds - you'll get an extra window where you can pick them. You can also access the Quicktime instruments, a complete set of General Midi instruments (that is used when you play midi files with the QT Player).

SoundFontSynth is shareware, with the unregistered version you can only play one octave of notes.

Man, what a difference a good nights sleep and the realization that this takes patience and persistence makes! I've got a couple of sound fonts, and they work! More importantly, I figured out how to access the drum kits in the BFD LIte software inside GB3. Now it's up to me to master the ins and outs of the Akai pad itself to configure the pads, etc. so I can create an instrument. You guys have all been an enormous help! Thanks! One thing that's weird, is that when I have BFD Lite selected in the generator and click on the pencil I can pick the drum set, tweak the sound just like rotating a drum head, etc. It's quite feakin' cool. But...when I hit record, it automatically plays about a two measure rythym pattern and records it on top of whatever I'm pounding out. I've got to find a way to make that stop.
