MMS Retrieval is terrible

Aside from not having MMS (spare me those of you that think it's unnecessary) has anyone successfully retrieved a MMS through the viewmymessage.com website that you get prompted to go to?

This thing times out constantly, and when I finally made it into login with the ridiculous username and pw, the video would not play. I tried on 2 different computers, and let alone the iPhone's safari browser...that def. won't do it.

It's actually annoying to have friends laughing at me for owning a $650 phone that can't even do MMS like their $50 phones do....I really hope Apple does something in an update, and very soon.

I don't even get the message to go somewhere to
retrieve it.. literally nothing comes to my phone to
give me even a hint that someone sent me something
(sent my self a few)... but I'm sure AT&T is still
charging us for those that disappear

Oh yeah, well don't bother anyway even if you do get the message, it's impossible. I have had a video sitting on there waiting for me to view for days now....

From what all the posters are saying it sounds like you need to be complaining to whoever runs the web site, rather than on this board. If you can't access your messages from a standard web browser in either Mac OS X, Windows, or Safari then the problem is not with what you are doing.

I understand you would like MMS support on the iPhone (don't count on it ever getting there, though). But your original post, and all subsequent replies are complaining abou this "viewmymessage.com" web site.

I'm merely suggesting that you need to contact the administrator of that web site if you are having trouble with it rather than complain here, which won't do you any good with that web site.

🙂 It sounds to me like they know how to push your buttons and they are having fun doing it. I, and many others, would LOVE MMS implemented as well, but EVERYONE should've known before purchasing that the iPhone didn't support this feature. I truly hope that they do update the phone with MMS, but I'm not holding my breath. 😟

I agree that MMS should be implemented on the iPhone. My work-around for the time being is instructing friends to MMS photos to my email address, which allows me to easily view them on my iPhone.

If MMS is an important feature for you then the place to let that be known is here:

http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

Apple does not read these forums as they are set up as a peer to peer help forum, but from what many of us have been told in the past they do read all submissions made through the feedback links. If they receive enough feedback for a particular feature there is a chance that it may get added, which is what many people want.

It doesn't matter to me as I don't use that feature now and probably never would but if can't be too hard to add it, so let them know!!

Yeah, I felt like an idiot too, when I told a friend I would send them a picture message from my phone when I get it. Fine, no MMS for now. It's still weird when friends send you a picture message. I just call them and ask them what the picture was. LoL.

Also, for people that don't know, you can't even send text messages to multiple recipients or a group. You can only send it to ONE person. Even the Geniuses at Apple didn't know this. Ahem.
