Quicktime video stuttering

Hello,

I assumed this was a more widespread problem but maybe I'm misnaming it. I believe my new computer should be more than capable of playing back recorded video in Quicktime, but while the audio plays seamlessly, the video stops and stutters, sometimes catching up with the audio, sometimes not. What am I doing wrong? Do I need a better video card? I don't notice any performance limitations on anything else I'm running. Thanks so much for your suggestions!

Well, I do not have NVIDIA motherboard, but I do have Vista, NVIDIA video card and RAID 0 (Intel Matrix I believe). To say that it stutters on my system is an understatement. It plays for 1 sec, and then there is pause in 30 sec, than it plays for 1 sec again, and so on...

I also have problem with updating iPhone photos from iTunes, which also somehow related to RAID 0 according to tech support.

So, apple software just can't work with RAID arrays.

I had the same problem with video stuttering using quicktime, I also have an Nvidia video card, for a quick fix I was able to save the itunes file onto my external hard drive and then play the file from there using itune, I assumed it worked because the external hard drive was and ide and the problem for some reason doesn't affect ide. anyways you might want to try it.
