light bleeding on the bottom of my new macbook pro 2.2

Just received my new macbook pro 2.2 from apple online and I very quickly noticed a band of lightness at the bottom of the screen. It seems to be most pronounced when there is a dark background screen eg dark gray, or black and white photos. It runs the entire width of the screen and is about quarter of an inch thick. Just wondering if anyone else has this issue or has any thoughts.

thanks

Hey, in regards to serving overseas and needing Apple support, I would call them directly. My first MBP was totally defective and would KP all the time. Apple doesnt ship to APO addresses and they were reluctant to sending me a replacement. Luckily i came back to the states, they saw my problem and replaced it with a new one. I am on my 2nd one right now and everything is good except for the 1/4" - 1/2" horizontal line at the bottom of my screen. Honestly, i have learned to live with it and it doesnt bother me anymore.

I did call apple a bunch of times trying to talk to diferent people, but because i live overseas and because I was out of my 30 day mark, they would not replace it.

Honestly, apple doesnt make an exception for troops living and serving overseas...atleast not anybody i spoke with over the phone. I would call so they can make note and hopefully give you a confirmation # that way when you do come back to the states they will be kind and either fix or replace it free of charge.

hope this helps.
