Downloads all appear as 'Secure download'

Can anybody help me please?
Since yesterday, whenever I download a file on to my desktop it is greyed out with the name 'Secure download' underneath it, rather than the name on the attached file.
There has been no problem opening the file, but it is a nuisance having to change the name for each download.
Is there something I need to change on a menu somewhere?
If so, I'd like to know what!

I met with the people at Apple store, genius bar today. they told me that Apple is working with yahoo to resolve the problem, and that something will be posted when they get it parched up.

I am also having the same problem. I am using 1.3.2. I have Yahoo! webmail. The problem started after downloading a secure document from a financial institution (salliemae). Downloading works with Firefox. I guess I will have to switch.

I have been using Safari for years without problems. I recently discovered that there is no place to change how Safari treats different document type attachments like other browsers.

Ok i know how to some what fix it. If you know what kind of file it is just rename it to something like work.doc and it might ask you if you want to use that extension or something hit yes and open it up and all will be well.

Very frustrating - I was really starting to like safari - oh well!
