Supposedly, now you can configure ringtones with iTunes for your iPhone. I understand that, once you download a song, there is a bell icon to help you get started. The trouble I may have, is that I love Hawaiian music, and it says only certain songs will be able to be made into ringtones. How do you know, before you buy, that the song can be made into a ringtone?
Hi. Can anyone please tell me where I can find a (recent) ringtone within iTunes? I have tried numerous search options, and have looked at 'all' music, but can't find any bell icon or indication that any of the tracks (old, new, purchased, in the store etc) can be converted and/or used as ringtones. I desperately want to use a nice track as a ringtone on my iPhone. Thanks.
In iTunes Store go to View - View Options... and then tick the ringtones button. The little bell symbol will then appear in the iTunes Store as a column, for all the use that it!!
Does anyone know if it's possible or should be possible to create ringtones from music already purchased from iTunes? I've created ringtones in GarageBand but it only allows you to use non iTunes-bought music.
Thank you very much for this reply and guidance. However, when I go to view, the view options, ringtones does not appear in the option list. I have checked and re-checked, but can't see 'ringtones' anywhere here. What am I doing wrong? Thanks again.
My biggest issue with this is, why is it some songs can and can't be made into ringtones? It doesn't do anything for Apple but make them more money(and probably the musician)
There has to be a solution out there!!!! I, like many of your, keep getting the password (login) request when trying to use the ringtone editor. This is maddening....
