OK, so I just upgraded my trusty old 60GB black iPod with an 80GB Classic.. on my older iPod I could go to 'Settings' > 'Compilations' and select on/off - with it on, when I went through my listing of artists it didn't show any of the obscure one off artists I had (as long as they were correctly identified in iTunes) - for some reason thats no longer an option on the Classic..
Or, if it is its not in the same spot and I haven't found it... Any one have any success? I have about 8GB of compilations set up and it makes my Artist list annoyingly long if every single one is listed there..
This has been fixed in update 1.02!
Enable the compilations option in the music menu and artists with only compilations will disappear from the Artists list! Hurrah!
Thankyou God!......and apple of course. I was really getting ****** after I put The Rolling stone magazines 500 greatest songs on there. another 500 artists
Yes it groups compilations together but still does not sort them in ablum order!!! so I have A-Z then I have my compilations!! or am I doing something wrong!!
I don't use coverflow anyway, its a useless gimmick imo. How long does it take to get through all you albums! It's a waste of time. It works great in artists and compilations
