yahoo plus push mail not working

I was not getting the error message that is stated in the article, but I did have non-alphanumeric characters in my password. Changing my password with Yahoo and then on the iPhone worked. New messages appeared just fine, but I needed to create a new folder after, move messages from the Inbox into the folder and back for it to show up on the iPhone.

OK so here's a good one for everyone... Based on David's experience it would appear that a free yahoo account with very little in the inbox is the way to go. However, since I use outlook, I didn't want to downgrade my account and instead decided to just open a new one and try forwarding from the plus to the free. (This isn't a good workaround from the standpoint that you can't forward AND still have POP access with a plus account, but that's not the interesting part) I set up the new account online and then added it to the iphone and started testing. Initially I had put the imap.apple etc. in the imap prefix, but it wasn't really working so I removed it and it started working perfectly. Within seconds of sending a test email, the phone had it. There was only one catch -- if an email is sent to the original plus account, which is now forwarded to the free account, that message won't get pushed. The only way it shows up on iphone is if I manually check the free account or I get another email addressed to the free account in which case it will push both the one addressed to the free account and the one originally addressed to the plus account.

So, based on all that, it would appear to be a yahoo problem. There's something in the header or code in a message recieved by a plus account that is keeping it from being pushed.

My .02 or maybe .03 -- this got a little windy...

I have Yahoo Plus and my account pushed my email fine for the first month or so. Then I downloaded and installed the first iPhone update and it's never worked the same since. It's now intermittent. At best, it'll push maybe 10% of the time. IMO, the first iPhone update did something to jack it up because it worked perfectly before that and sucked the moment I restarted the phone after the update.
