WTF is up with LP8?

Is it just me or does the new interface look like it should be renamed GarageBand Pro?
I'm not sure I'll be in the front of the line picking this up until I've seen some reviews first.
It just looks like all of the worst aspects of GarageBand rolled up with a nice little "pro" moniker.
Not for nothing, I happen to like different screen sets accessible at the touch a button... Where's eMagic when you need them?
(sorry for ********, but I hate it when an update causes you to change the way you work)

..and for the record, I liked the XSKey too.

I was just in the Apple store near my place and checked out LP8. WOW.

I specifically tried out all the window commands and they all work, just like before. The only caveat is that the Arrange Window still has a transport on it, no matter what.

Overall, a really nice update. Can't wait to get my hands on it here.

Interesting - considering I was able to turn off every new visual fluff that I didnt need to see so it was the old way, with my old screensets, environment mods, key commands and everything else intact.. but benetiing from the new features and enhancements.

Logic user since v2.x

The only thing that IS bothering me - is - where the **** did the antialiased text option go?? I had it turned off pre v8.. and now, all the arrange and mixer text has defaulted back to this terrible font smudgy-goo!!

Is the option somewhere else??

I don't suppose you'd want to run back there and find out if all of the Platinum 5 default key commands still work would you?! J/K
