iPhone U-Connect and Chrysler's MyGig radio

JUST GOT HOME AND IN THE MAIL WAS A NEW DOWNLOAD FOR MY.....MYGIG. I WAS ALL EXCITED FIGURING THIS WOULD MAKE THE UCONNECT WORK. WELL GUESS WHAT? SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED. IT PAIRS FINE BUT DOESN'T RECOGNIZE PHONE. DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT THE DOWNLOAD DID.

As of yesterday August 1, UConnect 877-855-8400 told me the full Navigation setup had been fixed by a software upgrade. Those of us who did not get that configuration still cannot use UConnect for the iPhone, either the original with 2.0 or the new iPhone.

My 2008 Ram 2500 UConnect still does not work.

Today I received an update for the MyGIG radio/navigation in my 2008 Grand Cherokee. It was sent out to fix hard disk and crashing issues as well as update various unspecified radio, navigation and BT functions in models with navigation. (There was no mention of iPhone issues.) The supplied disc updates the software for MyGIG models RER/REW - NAV to version 9.713.

*GOOD NEWS!!!!* After updating, my iPhone 3g now connects perfectly with U-Connect BT in my car. Voice is transmitted normally. I haven't tried initiating calls from U-Connect yet as I have to reprogram all stored #s and voice recognition after the update, but I'll report any problems if encountered.

Hi, can we download version 9.7xx to install it ourselves, or do we have to go through the Chrysler dealer? If so, where can we get the software update to download it? I have a 3G Apple iPhone that does not work with the MyGIG system of my 2008 Town & Country. Very frustrating. The MyGIG system was working fine with my previous phone (an HTC). Thanks a lot in advance.

I received the update via mail - in DVD format - as an unsolicited fix primarily for problems with the MyGIG hard drive and crashing of the system, with additional updates is the software for BT and navigation. I don't know if it can be downloaded. From what I understand, it fixes the BT iPhone problem only if you have the GPS navigation in your MyGIG.

I got the "MyGIG Radio Software Update" today in the mail for my Dodge Grand Caravan 2008 model (no navigation). I loaded it with hopes my iphone (not 3G) would work with uconnect again but it did not. ARRG!!

If they get enough bug reports on this issue, they will move faster to fix it as it becomes a higher priority. The place to report this bug is www.apple.com/feedback. Select the iPhone and fill out the short form (5 fields) and submit.

I am stuck with my brand new iPhone 3G and my Town & Country's MyGIG system (they won't work together; apparently they pair fine but won't work at all afterwards). I updated my 3G iPhone to version 2.0.1 today. I also updated my MyGIG REN model (non-navigation MyGIG radio) to version 9.112 (supposed to be the latest version of software for this model). I downloaded the software update from http://mofv.com/MyGIG/. Well, still no luck: after both updates the iPhone 3G won't work with MyGIG. I already reported this to Apple. Any other suggestions? It has become obvious that this is a software glitch on apple side and all should go to feedback and log a complaint, it will be the only way to get this fixed

Same problem here, it pairs then nothing, with a brand new (1 week old) Dodge Grand Caravan 2008 with MyGIG/uConnect Non-NAV with iPhone 3G 2.0.1 firmware and the latest MyGIG firmware (REN 9.112).

That is really frustrating, I think that's the feature of the car I was going to use the most...

I also have a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 and cannot connect to the uconnect system, but I can "pair phone." Does anyone know about non-mygig updates?

I was rolling in my 07' Chrysler Aspen with uConnect this weekend and discovered that my iPhone 3G is not connecting to my system. I was using a G1 iPhone before and never had any issues. The phone pairs fine, but uConnect just won't activate when I receive or make calls.

APPLE PLESE HELP US FIX THIS ISSUE ASAP! THERE'S A LOT OF DISSAPPOINTED FOLKS OUT THERE COUNTING ON YOU.

iPhone firmware 2.1 fixed my problem! My Caravan UConnect now works like a charm!

iphone finally corrected the issue with the latest update which I just received today. After installing it my iphone worked with uconnect for the 1st time in 2 months.

Thank you Apple. 2.1 made the Bluetooth connect with my truck again.
