iPhone U-Connect and Chrysler's MyGig radio

I just got a brand new '09 Dodge Challenger SE, and when I try to pair the phone with the MyGig radio, the phone doesn't even appear as a device listed in the menu. I've reset the phone, tried turning airport mode on and off, all to no avail. Can anyone tell me how to go from here? It seems crazy that the iphone won't work with this system. I've seen a lot on boards about updating the radio software, but since my car is under a month old, I don't think that's the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From my understanding the U-Connect and MyGig have a firmware update that was released lately and I hear this corrected the iPhone issues.

I am having the same problem with uconnect in my 2008 dodge avenger ..... When I contacted uconnect they instructed me to call apple to see what it is that I can download to my phone to make work... I mean it pairs fine ... it keeps dropping the calls from the audio system... then I call apple and they toll me that there is nothing they can do since every thing they have is up-to-date... then instrueted me to get my money back for the uconnect...hahaha.. not funny at all ... between the $400.00 phone and the $800.00 part and installtion for the unconnect something has got to give!!! If any1 has a solution plz contact me asap! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

My iPhone was working fairly reliably before the 1.220 update that the dealer did. Now most of the time the iPhone doesn't see the UConnect when I try to pair them. On perhaps 1 out of 5 tries to pair I can get a successful pairing but after I turn the car off they won't reconnect and I have to delete the pairings and start over.

I have a dodge caliber with mygig the i phone dont work in the uconnect bad very bad for apple because i try with sony phones and work perfect what is the solution apple ?

The only solution is to wait the 3.0 I phone or buy the handsfree from apple wich is what they expect us.
While in have my new car without U-connect.
Apple need solution to the problem many of is concerned

Chrysler needs to provide a solution. It's not Apple's responsibility to fix another company's system.

The I phone not work, I want to sell the phone but I would not be fair, I do not want to sell something that does not work as I am no apple. HELP ME

The phone is crashing - not uconnect. All other phones seem to work the system - aside from BMW, for which Apple DID provide a fix. As someone else said "guess there are more BMWs than Chryslers in Apple's parking lot."

Sounds like you need to buy a BMW.
