iPhone U-Connect and Chrysler's MyGig radio

See the post near the beginning of this thread from kthrash. It has a link to a software upgrade patch that you can download, burn to a disk, and use to upgrade your system. I did it on my Town & Country and it worked great, fixing the exact problem you described. Be sure to read the whole thread if you are having difficulty burning the CD. You have to make sure you burn it as a data disk.

I already burned the cd month ago and updated the software - that was 9.561, but the mic doesn’t work under this update – so I go on. That’s the reason I asked for a Wrangler JK owner, because off different basic setups.

It’s done – I updated to 9.7xx and spend about ½ hour to do this Job

As I can see in this short time – the iPhone (also to 1.1.4 upgraded) works flawlessly

I had to re-pairs my iPhone to MyGig than I make a cal – can dial and close the call on both ways – touch the iPhone or touch the u-connect button on MyGig

I have a 2005 T&C with the nav system and U-Connect. My iphone works fine with U-connect except if I'm playing my ipod through the Chrysler ipod integrator where it comes up and then just goes away. I've been round and round with Chrysler to no avail. My last Chrysler.

I found the answer. There is a website you go to: www.coastaletech.com and it is called mygig lockpick. Read about it, it works great and they send you a free update to the mygig that fixes the bluetooth, my iphone works well. Good Luck

all my gig radios with nav have the bluetooth fitted as standard, i am running version 9.7. so all you need is a microphone. $20 plus shipping from coastaltech. works great in my 08 Rubicon.

does anyone know if this issue of the iphone not working with a 2008 mygig radio has been fixed ? I just bot an iphone and cannot connect to the handsfree system in my truck. the iphone pairs up but when i try to make a call the uconnect does not connect with the iphone.

For Anyone who still has any problems I have a fix. I have a Dodge Charger RT with MYGIG w nav. You need to search for the new firmware of your MYGIG. Once I upgraded it using a DVD I was able to use my iPhone flawlessly with UConnect. Check out the Dodge forums at http://www.dodgeforum.com/

I purchased my 2008 Jeep Commander in October of last year. I had a tmobile dash that was working fine with the uconnect. When I got the Iphone it paired fine and showed that the bluetooth was connected, but when I would go to make a call it would start to dial and then drop the call. I could see Uconnect as an audio source on my Iphone's screen but I couldn't hear anyone and they couldn't hear me.

I downloaded the patch last night and burned it to a disk with the becker folder and the other two files on the disk and uploaded it to the MyGig. Took about ten minutes. Now everything works perfectly.

I downloaded the file that you posted (THANKS!) but my computer is not allowing me to move the files to the window where I have to place them to burn the CD.
I am TRULY DESPERATE to get my iPhone working on my Uconnect.
I AM DESPERATE TO GET MY IPHONE WORKING WITH MY UCONNECT!!!! I bought the update from chrisler but it's not the right one and they say it's all they have. Where did you buy yours from? Can I buy that CD from you???

what about you have a dodge charger with out the nav system in it how would you use the cd would it work the same?

I have a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, with uconnect. It was set up with our iphones, v.1.4, with no problems. Upon upgrading both my iphone, and my wife's, to 2.0, uconnect would no longer work.

I just tried something today- I deleted both phones from the uconnect database, unpaired the iphones, then re- paired both phones.

Guess what- it worked! Both phones, and the uconnect, are working perfectly.
