iPhone U-Connect and Chrysler's MyGig radio

I have a new Chrysler vehicle with the MyGig radio in it.. Every iPhone I have tried to connect to the U-Connect feature has a strange quirk.. it pairs just fine it will even voice dial and whatnot but as soon as the phone starts to ring who you are calling the U-Connect and the iPhone disconnect.. any ideas?

Please Apple Fix this issue. Between the $400 phone and the $1800 radio I am not a happy camper right now.

Hello,

Do you have any direct contact with Harmon Becker.
I just downloaded and installed the patch. It fixed the iphone connectivity issue.
However now my Jeep now seems to think it has a rear view camera installed.
When you put it in reverse the screen blanks out and says "check all your surroundings"
or something like that. Other than the text at the top of the screen the rest of the screen is blank due to the fact that the vehicle has no camera. I don't even think a camera is an option for my vehicle.

You can contact me at thunderbolt@mac.com

This still doesn't work,
I downloaded the patch and installed it fine.
I figured out the camera behavior, it's a setting on the MYGIG system you can turn on or off.
For whatever reason it got turned on by default after the update.

I initially thought it worked.....finally. If I dialed the number from the iphone in the vehicle everything went well.
When The call was incoming the MyGIG unit does not recognize the incoming call.
I have the latest iphone update 1.1.2.

So it half works.

It works to dial but not to answer.
At least for me.

Help! I am in the iphone U-Connect Bermuda triangle like everyone else. I have a 2008 Jeep Commander with MyGig and Nav. The iphone and U-Connect synch and then it does a double "beep" and disconnects. I am very leery of the "patch" that is going around. I have downloaded it but have not installed it for fear it will mess up my whole system. Any word of an "official" fix? Has anyone used the "patch" successfully? In looking at other sites, the "patch" posters who said it works seem to be the same people over and over. Any help would be appreciated!

My problem was caused by an inline caller I.D blocker on my home phone that I was using to test it with. I've found at least here in southeastern MI. if the incoming call to the iphone (version 1.1.2) is Caller I.D blocked the Chrysler U-Connect system will not recognize it as an incoming call.
even with the MYGIG NTG4_9.561 update.

I'm not sure if the iphone will do this with other headset/handsfree kits or in other areas.

I just installed the patch mentioned here on a brand new 2007 Town & Country. I was soooooo ****** when I got the van home and tried it out. How could it not work with one of the most popular phones on the market?

Anyway, the patch worked fine. You just need to make sure you burn the CD (or DVD) as a data disk. I used Nero to burn it onto a DVD (it still looks like a CD as far as the data disk type). The installation went very smoothly and now everything works fine.

You would think that it would be in at Chrysler's, UConnect's and Apple's best interest to get this resolved. Does anyone of them really having people not buy their products because they are incompatible with another mainstream product?

Hi Folks,

I own a Jeep Wrangler JK 07 equipped with the MyGig and ART microphone also updated first to 9.561 than 9.6xx, but don’t work flawless through Bluetooth with my iPhone.
Connecting is no problem, also shows the radio level and battery condition from iPhone, can dial, but after this, it return to standard display and can’t talk.

Now still waiting for the next update 9.7xx that should fix the problem

Who can help me, or has other experiences?

Thanks for help

Regards
Chris
