iPhone U-Connect and Chrysler's MyGig radio

Hang in there and tell your dealer that it is an authorized update. Harmon-Becker (who makes the radio) does testing in my town and they want to take a look at my MyGig. I will tell you what they find out and will tell you how they take care of it. Be patient help is coming.

Acarguy - Could you please, please post how you did the update? I cannot get it the car to realize that there is an update on the disc. How are you supposed to get the data from the disc onto the MyGIG? THANKS!!!!!!!!!

nothing really to it
put disc in and it asks you if you want to upgrade and it does the rest for you
my dealership is in westchester if you are near will be glad to help

Thanks for the offer, but sadly I'm a bit far. If it updates automatically then I must have made the disc incorrectly. Could you by any chance then describe how you made the disc (folders etc)? Thanks again (I really do appreciate it)

Hey guys – any new info? Has anyone successfully updated a 2008 Jeep Cherokee?

I just got off the phone with u-connect 877.855.8400(they stonewalled me).. telling me that I need to call apple. It basically took 20 min for them to admit to the iphone issue. Then they kindly told me to get lost. Additionally, they said “we are unaware of any updates, and we don’t know anything about the HB 9.561 patch.”

I just bought an 08 Charger and was scared to do the update bc it wasn't from Dodge but after trying 1 time and burning the CD wrong and then spending all day on the phone w/ Dodge and Apple and AT&T. I finally stumbled across the number for Uconnect and they were very nice. The guy told me about this same fix and said that he wasn't sure where it came from but that it was working according to the calls he was getting. So I gave it another shot. I made sure I had all of the items on the CD and popped it in and it worked like a charm! Iphone is working!

It sounds like you may have done the same thing I did initially. I put the Becker folder on the CD but didn't put the other 2 files next to it. The second one I burned, I put those 2 files in and it worked fine. The first time w/out them, it just said it was a data disc and didn't do anything.

I just bought an 08 Commander today. I could get my iPhone to sync and to dial, but I couldn't hear anything and the people couldn't hear me. So I downloaded the patch and burned it to a disk as described above, and...

It worked like a charm. It's working perfectly.

Can you give me a reference number for the fix that I can give to my local Chrysler dealer so they can fix my my-gig nav system interface, or at worst case your name/ work phone number so I can have him call if they dont have the update- Thanks in advance- and I know what feeling like you are crazy is like--

This patch worked perfectly on my 2008 Grand Cherokee. I loaded it December 1, 2007, without a hitch. Now my Iphone connects just like it it. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully so the .ini files (2 of them) are on the disc along with the Becker file. Solves all problems.

what software did you use to burn the cd and how did you get it burned at such a slow speed? My macbook pro only burns at 8x and 24x...

Where can we obtain this software update? I have tried every combination suggested via CD and USB drive none work, it seems that only wma files (sound) are burned unto the disc...the MYGIG just plays them when I insert the disc. Another time I got the "german" tutorial...can someone public a step-by-step guide to performing this update successfully? I am beginning to think it is a hoax...acarguy...what dealership do you work for in Westchester? would you be able to explain over the phone or email?

Worked like a champ in my 2008 Jeep Liberty with MyGIG. Upgraded to version 9.561 of the firmware. I was beginning to fume at this expensive purchase not working in my Jeep!
