I set up my IPhone and had an issue with syncing. I uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled and then the syncing worked. Now if I create a contact on the phone and sync it to my computer, the contact shows up but if I try to open it I get this message. "The Properties dialog box could not be displayed. An invalid ENTRYID was passed in." I found a KB artical from microsoft that said to remove the Outlook address book and re add it. I tried that and no change. Anybody know how to correct this?
OFFICE 2007 outlook. what i had to do is go into the Contacts list by clicking on the bottom left tab CONTACTS. Then open up the contact that is having erro and at the top where FULL Name tap is delete the name and retype it and save contact after. Seems to work. I also did it by copy and pasting the name and then saving . That works also. Again this is office 2007. Good luck.
The export and re-import seems to work for me. But I had to export to an MS Access file to get it to work right. If I went to a PST, it still had the issue. This problem does seem like it is caused by syncing with contacts created on the Iphone. Maybe it messes up Outlook when there is no email address in location 1?
This is the answer!! Export and import and it's fixed. I just changed jobs and ported 2500 contacts from my iphone to my new computer, and it was driving me nuts.
