Can the drivers be downloaded? The Dell download site offers only Windows XP driver downloads for this printer. The Dell guy (sorry I buy Dells for my workplace) said it would work with a Mac if I downloaded the drivers.
Well, it seems I'm not alone in this. as I'm using 10.5.3, I could not download the Fuji neither. In addition, I'm using Time Capsule. So if somebody is helping to help connect this printer. It would be appreciated.
Hi! I've tried using the "FX DocuPrint C525 A-AP v1.4" and the 1.0 versions and I can only get it to print on manual paper feed. How did you get it to print using the paper feeder? Where do I find the "printer features" tab?
Has anyone managed to get this printer working via AirPort? I finally managed to get it working when plugged directly into my MacBook Pro but the moment I connect via airport it stop working - it see the printer but jobs don't go through.
Some useful tips here - thank you - however (to johnfoster) you say the steps are almost the same for 10.5 (I am running 10.5.5) except you don't have to download the driver. I followed your steps and let it auto select the driver - it defaults to Generic PostScript Printer - and the printer seems to know something is happening as it makes noises but nothing comes out - can't even manual feed. I do not have the option anywhere of selecting 250 sheet feeder as an option. I'm thinking it's using the wrong driver.
Any tips?
And I know Dell is
** and should be thrown out but I didn't choose it or pay for it!
Instructions included in the zip file, if you point it to the ppd file (at print using > 'other') you should be fine.
Don't know why there are 2 ppd files included, maybe there are different versions of the printer, I selected Dell1320cn.ppd which worked right away.
