Can't make purchases, network connection was reset??

A month on and I now have this problem! - on both our computers - both Macs. Seemed to happen after updating to itunes 7.5. I've uninstalled itunes, reinstalled it - still issue with store graphics - they mostly show a 'broken chain' icon, I get the error message 'the network connection was reset' when trying to access new podcasts and when attempting a music download a 5.9 MB song takes 2 hours to complete!
I rang the technical line - they suggested that my account needed to be reset - anyone else heard this is a problem and been able to solve it? (hasn't fixed itself in 2 weeks now)

Holy smokes, it's January 23rd and I'm getting the same"Network Connection Was Reset" error and I can't even get to my account or anything. Back in Dec. my daughter couldn't even register her iPod nano and get the free "Jack Jack" Pixar short. What is up? Any help is appreciated.

At least I can log in here and get help…I hope. Anyone?

OMG ME TOO!!!!! I think it is the fact that there was recently another update. I recently updated, and now its giving me this crap, and it can't come at a WORSE POSSIBLE TIME! I need to get a song for an audition, and now I can't because the itunes store is down, and won't let me log in. I am SO frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still down. Just when I was about to rent a movie, too. Not a good show, Apple.

I just updated iTunes to the newest version yesterday, and of course today, I can't log in to my account to purchase some music. Obviously something is wrong with the code in iTunes 7.6, but unfortunately, that doesn't help with a solution. Very frustrating.
