10.5 Front Row - No Art for Remote Source

I've just submitted feedback myself. I JUST got my brand new Mac Mini and was really looking forward to using this feature.

MAKE SURE YOU DO SO AS WELL! EVEN REPEATED REQUESTS! We need to make sure we're heard if we have any hope of seeing this done.

In the meantime, being as I'm brand new to the Mac world, is it possible to go back to the older version of Front Row in order to get it working?

No cover art from remote sources in Front Row REALLY diminishes the experience.

Come on Apple, you can fix this.

I'm running Leopard 10.5.2 on a Mac Mini (1.66Gz Intel Core Duo 2GB RAM) and iTunes 7.6.1 and have no album artwork when using Front Row to access music and video stored on a NAS on my network. Everything else works fine (can view/play the files) and if I access the NAS from within iTunes, rather than Front Row, I can see all of the album artwork, so I know it is there and in the right location. The problem seems to be just related to Front Row over a remote source.

Here's hoping Apple realise this and fix it soon!

bump - having the same problem with fully up to date 10.5.2 and iTunes 7 running on a XP Pro machine as the source and a MacMini and a MacBook Pro as the Front Row clients. Come on Apple, a MacMini costs more than an Apple TV - it should work at least as well, if not better!

I'm also having the same problem. The old Front Row had no problems with album artwork for remote sources but now no artwork shows up at all for any music or movies. I'm on a MBP browsing a remote library on a Mac Mini and none of the artwork shows up.

On another note related to remote browsing of album artwork, why does iTunes alter remote album artwork? It will reduce the size and add white bars either horizontally or vertically to even it out to a perfect square. Viewing the artwork on the source computer confirms that the original is still unchanged. Is there a way to set iTunes to show all remote artwork in full quality?

Same issue here (MBP streaming to an iMac, both 10.5.2 with iTunes 7.6.2).

I was just going to start a topic on this when I saw this thread. Sad that this hasn't been fixed in all these months.

I'll add my name to the list. Also submitted feedback. I really wish this would just get resolved.

It seems like it would be a simple fix. iTunes can get the art from a shared library. Why can't Front Row?

Sadly still nothing? Just bought a Mac Mini 1.83 today
as media center and my MBPro running 10.5.4. as remote
source, no front row with album art 😟

Any updates on this? I get no cover art using my mac mini with my itunes library being the mac pro in the other room. Dude, apple is the best.. simply the best. They have me sold on everything...

They should merge with TIVO.... then my destiny will be complete.

This makes me bummed to no end - i have my home theater media center system absolutely dialed in, and this is the only kink and it *****!! why would i go to sooo much trouble to do it all the 'apple way' if i can't have the fully realized sexy solution. big time downer.
