Konica Minolta 2530DL

Hi,

Since I've upgraded my Macbook Pro to Leopard, my Konica Minolta 2530DL Color Laserprinter stops printing... On my second notebook, a 12" Powerbook G4, running on 10.4.10 Tiger it still works.

The printer gets recognized by OS X, (with the KM Cups drivers), and the USB connection looks fine. Although, when I want to print something there's nothing send to the printer. The print-job says it is stopped. I've already tried to re-install the drivers (latest version from Konica)

Regards,

Macbook Pro 2.2Ghz, Mac OS X (10.5)

Ditto on the Konica Minolta 2530DL issue. Upgraded... can't print. Same behavior as described by others. It just stops.

No known solution... have tried many avenues... Reboot, shut down, printer shut down, direct wire, wireless... all fail. Wish I could offer a solution but I can't.

Even tried gutenprint along with a few other drivers. No luck.

This is not good. I'll post if I can figure anything out but short of a new driver from Konica Minolta, I'm not holding my breath.

Same issue here. I tried Bonjour, Ip (lpd) printing, 2 different drivers and no results. I have noticed though that in the print que, after sending a print job to the machine, it has a strange print que name listed with it. According to all documentation on minolta's site, the print que and the ip have to be the same. Tried that and get yet another strange que name.

It seems that cups is using a different name for the print que no matter what you put in, it changes it to what ever it wants.

The only print job i was able to get out of it was using the webserver built into the printer and telling it to do a test print. But that is bypassing the print driver and cups, and only using safari.

I had a similar problem with my 2430DL (possibly generically similar to 2530?).

I downloaded the driver from the Konica Minolta site and first uninstalled the magicolor driver (since I'd been faffing about trying many different drivers that I'd got stored on my hard drive from previous installations).

Then I re-installed it and it works!
